Used Vehicle Inspections
What is a Mobile Pre-Purchase Auto Inspection?
A mobile pre-purchase auto inspection is where a vehicle is examined before purchase at whichever location it is located, whether it be a private seller or a dealership. There is no hassle of having to transport the vehicle to an auto shop. Mobile inspectors are more knowledgeable than the average car buyer and can provide a professional and unbiased critique on the condition and performance of the car. Some buyers may not be able to see the car in person so this gives them a realistic expectation of the condition of the vehicle allowing them leverage in negotiations. Why is it Important? Imagine this situation: You buy a car out of state sight unseen because it was such a great deal you couldn't pass it up. A few weeks later, it breaks down when you're headed to work. The seller said it was in great condition and well taken care of but now you're thinking that wasn't the case. Now, you're late for work and you have no transportation. You're thinking, fine, cars break down let me just get it to the mechanic and it will be alright once fixed. What else could go wrong? Once you finally get it towed to the mechanic, he tells you that car will need major repairs. Repairs that are worth more than what you paid for the car. Can this situation be prevented? In most instances, yes! Getting a pre-purchase inspection gives you a better evaluation on the actual condition of the vehicle and prevents bad purchases or misrepresented vehicles. No one likes wasting time and most of all hard earned money on a lemon. How Does a Used Vehicle Inspection Work? The inspector's job is to check the in depth condition of the vehicle including all external as well as internal components. The mobile inspector will often arrive unannounced to prevent the seller from making any temporary fixes so issues will not show to give the vehicle a higher assessment score. A report will be generated within 24 hours after the inspection due to the nature of the car business. We want the customer to have the information as fast as possible to make an informed decision before the car is sold. The report will have detailed notes on all components as well as accompanying photos. This will allow the customer to make a decision to move forward with the purchase or not. A pre-purchase inspection is the smart thing to do when buying a used vehicle. Used car dealerships have a myriad of ways they can obfuscate vehicle issues legal or otherwise and most used cars are sold on an as is basis with no warranties. This is even more important if you can't see the vehicle firsthand. Having a professional assessment can reveal vital information that may affect your purchasing decision. Having the most information possible enables you to make an informed and educated decision, even without seeing the car. This step can save you a lot of time, money, and headaches down the road. |
